Virginia man faces host of charges after alleged assault

When you are dealing with people you know and love, there is a chance that even a simple incident can turn into something more. During those times, it is easy to lose your temper and act out of character. For one Virginia man, being ask to leave an apartment seems to be the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back.

The man didn't want to leave the apartment, so he allegedly struck the resident of the apartment in Canandaigua multiple times in the head. Police officers arrived and took him into custody, but he allegedly wasn't too pleased with that either. He is accused of fighting with officers while he was being processed at the Ontario County Jail.

The 55-year-old man is being held at the Ontario County Jail without bail for a host of charges. He is facing charges of aggravated family offense, criminal contempt, harassment, criminal trespass and two assault charges in connection with the events surrounding the incident.

While it isn't clear exactly what happened to rile this man up to the point that made him act in a manner that led to him facing these charges, the fact of the matter is that he now has to answer to some criminal charges stemming from the incident. This man has the right to defend himself against the charges he faces.

Keeping your cool in a tense situation isn't always easy. If you have lost your cool and ended up with criminal charges, you should make sure that you understand what evidence is against you and the specifics of the charges you face.
