Our mission at the office of Ronald E. Our firm is a member of a larger professional partnership, Lawrence, Smith & Gardner. This partnership began in 1983 with the formation of Lawrence & Smith from two separate firms. In 2001, Lance G. Gardner joined as a full partner and the firm was renamed Lawrence, Smith & Gardner, Attorneys and Counselors at Law and has now grown to include associate counsel Martin Brillantine and a number of vital support staff as well.

As the result of this partnership, clients now benefit from a combination of skills, knowledge, and resources of a large firm while still having the communication, accessibility, and service that smaller firms excel at providing.

As an attorney, Ronald Smith is the co-author of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) textbook Defense of Serious Traffic Cases in Virginia, Virginia State Bar, 2004. He is a frequent CLE lecturer on criminal and DUI / Traffic Law for the Virginia State Bar, Arlington Bar Association, and the Fairfax Bar Association, where he sits on the General District Court Committee. In 2001, Ronald Smith was honored by the Governor of Virginia with the Patrick Henry Award for his unwavering commitment to the legal profession.
